Silvia Herlambang is a dedicated educator with a rich background in teaching and a passion for working with diverse students. After graduating from Germany with a major in chemistry, Silvia began her teaching career at the German School Jakarta in 2006. There, she played a crucial role in transforming the school’s combined chemistry and biology laboratories into separate, specialized facilities. The high-quality equipment she helped to procure from Germany continues to effectively support the school’s needs.

In addition to her background in chemistry, Silvia now teaches mathematics and biology, reflecting her diverse expertise and deep commitment to education. Over the years, she has discovered her true passion for education and her joy in working with people from all over the world. Her experience has enabled her to connect with students of all ages and cultural backgrounds, adapting her teaching methods to meet their diverse needs and learning styles.

Silvia’s approach emphasizes the practical application of knowledge alongside theoretical learning, ensuring that students can effectively apply their skills in real-world situations. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, which limited face-to-face practice, Silvia’s enthusiasm for teaching remained strong, especially in helping students develop systematic problem-solving skills in mathematics.

Motivated by her love of education and cultural exchange, Silvia co-founded Easy Bahasa Indonesia (EBI) to share her passion for Indonesian culture and language with a global audience. Her commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment makes her a valuable member of the EBI team.

Inez Griandini is a passionate language teacher, born and raised in Indonesia’s largest city, Jakarta. Growing up in a family with Javanese roots from Central Java, she has a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of her country. Inez later completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a major in German as a Foreign Language in the beautiful city of Malang, East Java.

With extensive experience in teaching foreign languages, especially German, in both formal and informal settings, Inez worked at an international school in Jakarta. There she taught students from different cultural backgrounds and ages, and honed her ability to adapt her teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each learner.

Currently, Inez is pursuing a joint Master’s degree in German Studies at four European universities – Porto (Portugal), Luxembourg, Mainz (Germany), and Palermo (Italy). As an international student, Inez has had the opportunity to make friends with people from all over the world. This experience has not only broadened her cultural understanding, but also deepened her empathy and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. She brings this global perspective to her teaching, allowing her to better understand and respond to the unique cultural contexts of her students.
